Full Day Ten Lakes Spectacular Tour

​​​​This stunning tour covers the North, South and central Lake District and is a perfect introduction to the area. The Lake District is often referred to as the “most beautiful corner of England” and this full day tour introduces you too just that. Magnificent scenery of mountains, valleys, and lakes from the south to the north. The tour includes a visit to the 4,000-year-old Castlerigg Stone Circle set high on the fells, and time in Keswick. You travel over passes, through beautiful valleys, see waterfalls and Lakeland villages. You have plenty of stops for admiring the views and taking photographs.


Full Day High Adventure Tour

Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Lake District. Travel through the breathtaking Langdale Valley before tackling the dramatic Wrynose and Hardknott Passes, where you'll have time to take in the extraordinary scenery. Our adventure continues to Wast Waster, England’s deepest lake, renowned for its awe-inspiring views. Next we'll visit the historic Muncaster Castle, here you can enjoy a delicious locally sourced lunch before exploring the magnificent castle and gardens, followed by a thrilling flying display or have a go at axe throwing or archery in the Medieval Weapons Hall.


Half Day Beatrix Potter’s Favourite Countryside Tour

Half-day tour visiting many of Beatrix Potter's favourite past times and places.
This tour is the ideal way to explore the favourite places associated with Beatrix Potter. We travel north alongside Lake Windermere to Waterhead and then from here we drive to Beatrix Potter’s Hill Top farm where she wrote many of her famous children's stories in this little 17th century stone house. Our next stop is the medieval village of Hawkshead where you have time to explore this fascinating village. On our way to Coniston Water, we drive through the renowned beauty spot of Tarn Hows where we stop for a photo. The tour continues through Yewdale, passing Yew Tree Tarn and Skelwith Bridge then back to Windermere and Bowness. Sit back and enjoy a lake cruise on one of the famous lakes.

Private tours

Mountain Goat's Signature tours service is a great way to see the Lake District and Yorkshire. You will have exclusive use of both our vehicles and our driver/guide, and you can choose from full or half day tours. We can arrange any of our pre-designed itineraries as a private tour or arrange a bespoke tailor-made tour to suit your interests. We currently offer two types of vehicles to hire, our Mercedes V-Class which can seat 7 passengers in luxury or for larger groups our 16-seater Mercedes minibus.


Private Hire

With a fleet of over 25 vehicles, we offer competitive prices and can cater for groups of any size. Our small minibuses are ideal for adventuring the narrow Lakeland roads where larger vehicles can't reach.
