About

Visit England’s Excellence Awards; Best Experience, Silver, 2023
The Gin Guide’s Environmental Sustainability Winner: 2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023
North West Family Business Winner, 2023: Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

We, Andy & Zoe Arnold-Bennett, launched Shed One from our 7x7 foot Garden Shed in 2016. After renovating the The Old Calf Shed, just a stone’s throw away, we moved the distillery and opened our Shop, Bar and Visitor Attraction in 2019.

We began by creating London Dry, contemporary-style gins with big, bold flavours. From Cuckold’s Revenge to Chilli Fest and Shed Loads of Love awards for our gins include Great Taste, World Gin Awards, World Liqueur Award and The Gin Guide Awards. We also produce Gin Jelly Marmalade. Part of each sale goes into our Marmalade Fund which is then donated to charity. Our liqueurs are made with locally foraged and grown fruit.

Nowadays, we also create botanical vodkas made with foraged and locally-grown ingredients.

When you visit Shed One for our experiences, you’ll find that we keep groups small and we, the owners and distillers, will host you. Our experiences, booking essential, include Distillery Tours & Tastings, Afternoon G&Tea and Make Your Own Spirits. We also host private events which are tailored to your needs.

For the ultimate in experiences, we are a licensed wedding venue and specialise in Elopements. If you prefer just the two of you, we would be honoured to be your witnesses. After the ceremony, you get to make your very own wedding day gin or vodka.

Cuckold’s Revenge is our original gin and can be found in the latest edition of “101 Gins To Try Before You Buy”. Great Taste judges: “An interesting and beguiling blend of aromatics, soft and mysterious, delivering layers of Citrus and Spice with a lovely warming finish.”

Festive Bramble Gin Elixir, World Gin Awards & World Liqueur Awards: "Rich nose with fruits, spices and black pepper. Bramble comes through clearly on the palate with cinnamon and nutmeg. Really nice complexity, and nice balance between fruit and gin characters."

Fancy Frolic Gin, World Gin Awards: "Delicate citrus notes on the nose. Zesty lime on the palate. It’s clean and refreshing, and the lime is well distilled."
