About

Make Your Own Distilled Gin

Icons of Gin: World’s Best Visitor Attraction, Winner 2022.

Cumbria’s only Make Your Own Gin Workshops, hosted by the owners and distillers, Andy & Zoe.

We begin with a welcome G&T, followed by a look around our micro distillery while we tell you about the process of gin making and how we got into this creative and exciting gin.

You can choose to make a bottle of your own, or come as a couple and create one between you. We keep the groups small, only 5 stills maximum. In this way we can give you all the attention and guidance you need to produce your signature gin.

With 40 botanicals to sniff through, it’s all about the nose! How many do you need to for your gin? That’s up to you! The least has been 4, and the most was 23…so far! Once you’ve mixed your botanicals they go in a mini-still with alcohol blended with filtered Cumbrian water, and the alchemy begins.

While distilling we’ll serve you a couple of sweet treats, scones and another G&T, plus tea and coffee.

Then it’s time to find the perfect %abv for your special gin before we bottle it. To complete your bottle, we'll create a personalised label with your chosen image and gin name.

“A fantastic experience making our own gin. Great hospitality and lots of lovely little personal touches. Thank you very much for a great day.” A & N, Cleator Moor

“Fantastic afternoon. Lots of fun, gin and bonus cakes. So pleased to learn the process of gin making.” R & B, Staveley

Your voucher includes a 10% discount on any products bought during your visit.

Make Your Own Distillery workshop lasts approximately 3.5 hours.

You must be over 18.
