Northern Trains operates direct train services to Windermere and right the way round Morecambe Bay and the stunning Cumbrian Coastline, as well as along one of England’s most scenic lines, the Settle and Carlisle Railway

Avanti West Coast (formerly Virgin Trains) runs fast and frequent trains from London, Birmingham and Glasgow to the Lake District.- Leave the car at home and travel all around Cumbria by rail. Northern operates services on the West Coast Main line, Settle-Carlisle railway and Cumbrian Coastal line.
