'The Big One' - Esk Ghyll. If you enjoy jumping into natural pools of water, then Esk ghyll is right up your street! It's got the most jumps (and the highest) of all the canyons/ghyll scrambles in the Lake District. It is suitable for those 16 years and over and you must be confident in water with the ability to swim short distances. As the main focus of this ghyll scramble is the jumps, you must be willing and able to do this. Otherwise check out other locations we do where this is not the main attraction. Our wetsuits are extremely warm and comfortable. We import them over from a company that uses the best neoprene, so you will not only be warm enough but also still flexible enough to throw some shapes midair! There is a 40 minute walk from the parking lay-by to the start of the ghyll, so you must be fit enough for the walk in and out and the activity itself. Allow 5-6 hours.
