About

Simply stated, the advantages being a member of FBC are:

1. We buy the boats; you have no capital outlay for boats to make
2. We maintain the boats to the highest standard; you have no mooring or maintenance costs, (in fact, the Membership fee is cheaper than it would cost you to moor and maintain your own boat!)
3. You, and two of your immediate family, are given free training on our range of boats and a RYA Powerboat 2 Certification
4. You book boats online and there is no limitation to the number of times you can book in a year and, of course, no cost to use them
5. You have reciprocity with 360 FBC clubs in the US, Canada, Spain, France, and the UK which means you have a range of cruising destinations open to you

Besides Windermere, at present, there are four other clubs in the UK in which to use your reciprocity: two on the Solent so that you can get some sea time in, and nip over to Cowes for lunch; one in the West country at Torquay running in their lovely Bay with access to the Channel; and one in Scotland.

The number of Clubs will continue to expand over time, the French and Spanish Clubs are near at hand and if you are traveling to the New World there are masses in the US and Canada - 72,000 members of FBC can’t be wrong.

We’ll have range of boats on the Lake ready to use by Members to provide you with a varied boating experience, and you will be certified for each type of boat by our qualified trainers to ensure you are comfortable with its operation. Typical of the type of boats we will be using are the Quicksilver 675 weekend which is a cabin boat, Bayliner VR5 Bowrider which is an open bow design, and the Grand RIB 5 to 6 meter for the more adventurous.

As stated above, besides your training, two other nominated members of your immediate family can also be trained as part of your membership, all for free of course.

The Cost of joining us are, a one-off, lifetime, FBC Joining fee of £4,500 (inc. VAT), followed by a monthly Membership fee of £420 (inc. VAT), should you choose to pay the whole year in advance then we give you an early bird discount of 10%.

The Lake is a superb and very safe place to cruise and learn boating with no tides or currents. We are located plumb in the center, with all the attractions of the Lake District ready at hand.

Our location at Windermere Quays also gives to you the Aquatic Premier Card which gives you discounts in our shops and restaurants and use of our own car park.

You can read more about us on our website - aquatic-quays.com – and if you can manage a visit that would be perfect! We can explain all the parameters, let me know your plans and we’ll get the kettle on.
