About

Stag Weekends

We believe that a Stag weekend should be well thought out, low travel, convenient and save you a bit of money too. We know what works and what really doesn't.

Mix & Match: We have 51 activities to choose from, a list of accommodation providers that will accept Stag & Hen groups and transport… we can organise as much as you need.

Weekend Packages: We have some awesome Stag, Hen and Sten packages that are tried and tested and we know work really well. Think Quads, Clays and Archery or Ghyll Scrambling with Bushcraft or Paintballing and Caving… obviously not all at the same time! Some great activities to choose from that can be paired up with accommodation in great places and transport.

Adventure Stag: Four great weekends with EVERYTHING organised for you. The packages can be booked for a minimum of 8 people, late comers can be booked on later. A welcome BBQ with complimentary Beers is arranged for the Friday evening. Saturday is a full day of activities, the evening is spent touring the best real ale pubs in the South Lakes and Pub Grub. Sunday morning more activities are arranged - usually involving jumping into Lake Windermere, a perfect way to clear the head.

Contact us to discuss the options

Hen Weekends

We have years of experience organising Hen Weekends and Activities. We know what works and what doesn't. With over 51 activities to choose from there will be something to suit everyone. We are able to book accommodation and transport too.

Adventure Stag Do

Are you looking for a memorable way to celebrate the grooms final days of being a bachelor? We sort everything for you, accommodation, activities, BBQ and pub tour (p.s. we know all the best local pubs to visit).

Arrive on the Friday night with a BBQ all sorted for you, Saturday choose an epic adventure - Canyoning, Motorsports, Wilderness Canoe Bushcraft or beat the Stag Competition. After a full day of action head back to the private self catered accommodation, where you will pick up the Pub Tour bus. Check out the best drinking spots in either Windermere, Ulverston or Kendal. Sunday is the day for recovering from the night before? Wrong! The adventure continues, choose from an awesome selection of activities. Finish at mid day, leaving plenty of time for everyone to drive home.

The booking process is simple, you just need to book with a minimum of 8 people, there is also the option to add on late comers.

Wilderness Stag Do

Wanting a Stag Weekend that is action packed, fuelled by adventure and faff free? Then look no further - we organise everything for you, the Accommodation, Ghyll Scrambling, Canoe Bushcraft Wilderness Adventure, BBQ and the Pub Tour.

Survive the day with little more than a Canadian canoe, flint and steel, some tasty snacks and one of our expert instructors. Canoe on Lake Windermere to a secluded beach, this is no shipwrecked experience. Here you will be handed mozzarella cheese, crumble mix and a tea bag…. (along with some other goodies) What you do with them is up to you, but we recommend fire baked gourmet pizzas, some apple crumble and a good cuppa tea!

Competitive Stag Do

The Competitive Stag weekend is packed full of fun, laughs and wacky competitions and is great for a group that is wanting something that will appeal to "the boys" and your Uncle (WARNING - fancy dress is highly recommended).

A great Stag package if you have a mixed bunch of guys and you are trying to find something to suit everyone. The aim of this weekend is to collect points and be crowned the champion. Saturday, spend the day completing challenges in teams, a few weird and wacky challenges, and some to test the problem solvers of the group. Points from the morning result in the amount of raft building kit you get as a team - will you be just hugging a barrel as you try to cross Lake Windermere?

Freshen up back at base and get collected for your Pub Tour of the Lakes, options of going to Kendal, Windermere or Ulverston.
Sunday is the chance to finish the competition, who will be crowned champion in a head to head match of Clay Pigeon Shooting. May the Best Man win…

Ultimate Stag Weekend

Do you consider yourselves a bunch of action men? If yes then you have come to the right place. A Stag weekend fully loaded with adventure, recommended only for the fittest and most adventurous Stag groups. Canyoning and Caving - you can’t get more epic than that!

Saturday, spend the morning in a local quarry, getting to grips with the rope work (basically, which rope to let go of, and which one to hold on to). Abseil in to the Canyon and then jump and lower yourself into the mountain river and pools. Head back to the centre to smarten up and start the Adventure Stag Pub Tour with options of going to Kendal, Windermere or Ulverston.

Sunday is another big adventure day, just a few minutes outside of the Lake District is Europes most epic network of Caves. Spend the morning crawling, sliding and squeezing through tight passages.

Country Stag Do

A Stag weekend full of Quad Biking, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Paintballing, Raft Building and good Beers - we will sort it all out for you, including the accommodation.

Trek across the country estate on Yamaha 350 Quads, climbing up and over rock ground. Negotiate steams and try not to get stuck in the bog! Practice your aim in a round of clay pigeon shooting, hold on tight to the twelve-bore shotguns, as they can pack a punch! Now to put your shooting practise into use with a paintball Plane Crash simulation. Head back to the centre to smarten up and start the Adventure Stag Pub Tour with options of going to Kendal, Windermere or Ulverston.

Wake up on Sunday for a splash in Lake Windermere, design and build a raft, then race them along the Lake, the loosing team (and stag) take a swim in the lake!!!

Hen & Stag Venue

We believe that a Stag Hen Sten weekend packages should be well thought out, low travel, convenient and save you a bit of money too. We know what works and what really doesn't.

The facilities available at the venue or site of the activity vary. All activities need to be pre-booked to ensure there is a suitably qualified instructor for you so full instructions including directions to a meeting point, what to expect from the activity and the venue and what to wear, are sent to you in advance.

Some venues have free parking and toilets others you will need to use pay and display car parks, some have free parking for National Trust members, others are local authority. Some venues have toilets others the arrangements are 'rural'. Most locations for adventure activities have very limited disabled access/facilities due to the nature of the activities.

We will be very happy to advise on what is possible and/or advisable for anyone with special needs, but it will usually require a conversation between the instructor and the client before booking/arrival to ensure we can do our best to deliver something to meets expectations.

Road Directions

We use a number of venues around the Lake District to allow for the nature of different activities. (NB no activities take place at the admin office address). The locations for climbing, caving, canoeing, ghyll scrambling and mountaineering are dictated by the needs of the activity. Other activities like shooting, quad biking and bushcraft need specialist areas away from public areas/footpaths.
