The farm and campsite has been run by the same family for 5 generations. It is a working farm home to Swaledale ewes, cattle and calves. Farm activities such as lambing, dipping, shearing and working dogs can be seen and swans, ducks and cats. Beautifully situated on the shores of Ullswater and at the foot of Barton Fell. It is an ideal base for walking, sailing, fishing, pony trekking or simply relaxing. New arrivals are accepted after 10.00 and departure time is before noon. We aim to provide a peaceful site with good, clean facilities and pets must be on a lead at all times.
We hire Canadian canoes, rowing boats, pedaloes and mountain bikes. Life jackets and helmets are available. Volley ball and table tennis are on site. Boats can be stored on site. Also daily launching of boats and windsurfers.
