Roudsea Wood Nature Reserve and woodland accessible trail

Hire a Tramper available on Wednesdays and discover this beautiful woodland site lying at the head of the Leven Estuary just a stone’s throw from the southern most tip of Windermere.

Graded moderate with an easy route nearby which takes you across a boardwalk through the reeds and mosses. A National Nature reserve offering an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.

Please note, Trampers are available on alternate Wednesdays between 10am and 3pm.

A member of the Natural England team at Roudsea Woods NNR will contact you to confirm the booking arrangements. All booking enquiries are subject to availability, but we will do our best to meet your needs. Please do not travel to the hire point without first having confirmation of your booking.

This Tramper is available to hire at Roudsea Woods NNR with the kind support of Natural England.

NOTE - there are 2 routes to choose from :
1. Nature reserve and Woodland Trail - this takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
2. Bog Trail - this takes approximately 1 hour to complete.
