Paul Fitton
Paul's exhibition, brings a series of works intended to challenge and stimulate the imagination with various themes, ranging from the mysterious, abstraction, surrealism to the intriguingly atmospheric.
Carl Fitton
Carl's exhibition is a series of drawings drawing inspiration from the railway art posters from the 1920’s and 1930’s, combined with a fascination as to what would happen if mankind disappeared, abandoned cities or travelled to the stars.
How would nature respond to being left to itself, and how would our cities and villages change.
My work revolves around some well known landmarks in and around the city of Carlisle ‘After’ the inhabitants have left for one reason or another, you can look for the reasons and see if there are clues in the picture.
I love pictures which tell stories and hopefully these pictures will allow people to make up their own stories about what might have happened.
About Gallery North West
A contemporary art gallery in the market town of Brampton, 9 miles east of the City of Carlisle. The gallery is located close to Hadrian’s Wall, the Scottish Borders, Galloway, the Eden Valley, and English Lake District, so it should be no surprise that we have a wealth of artistic talent to call upon.
The Brampton Gallery is positioned in the town centre, above the well-established Castle Framing and Gallery on Front Street. Although separate enterprises, the two businesses combine to provide superb gallery space on both street and first-floor levels, with the added bonus of a high-quality framing and print service on hand.
