About

A contemporary art gallery in the market town of Brampton, 9 miles east of the City of Carlisle. The gallery is located close to Hadrian’s Wall, the Scottish Borders, Galloway, the Eden Valley, and English Lake District, so it should be no surprise that we have a wealth of artistic talent to call upon.
The Brampton Gallery is positioned in the town centre, above the well-established Castle Framing and Gallery on Front Street. Although separate enterprises, the two businesses combine to provide superb gallery space on both street and first-floor levels, with the added bonus of a high-quality framing and print service on hand.

Renovation of the upper level - including fitting state-of-the-art lighting - was completed in January 2023, and now offers both artists and customers superb exhibition space. Gallery North West exhibit artworks from some of the best artists from across the North of England and South Scotland.

Our ethos is to seek out and support artist talent across all genres of the arts, as a result we have superb painters, ceramicists, jewellers, sculptors, textiles, glass and wood products. With a full and diverse exhibition programme changing every 3 months we aim to off the public a wide range of superb arts.

The lower gallery is at street level, however, access to the first-floor galleries is by staircase only. We have published a 3D Virtual walkthrough to help disabled users to view our main galleries.
