About
Home Farm House is part of the Hutton John Estate. It is located just 2 miles from Ullswater in a beautiful and quiet spot, yet only 6 miles from M6 junction 40. The house used to be the gatehouse for the estate, and then two farm cottages. It has been carefully restored to preserve many original features, whilst being brought completely up to date with three comfortable bedrooms and three bath/shower rooms, one with a feature bath. There is a super king bed in the downstairs bedroom that can be turned into a twin, if so desired. There is a step up to this bedroom. The kitchen has all mod cons, Neff appliances including a dishwasher and a large family dining table for you to sit around and recount the day's activities. There is also a utility area with washing machine, and a tumble dryer in a small room off the hall. The sitting room has a log burner to create a cosy and warm atmosphere when the weather turns a bit chilly. There's also a smart TV and DVD player. The inner hall has wallpaper that shows an old ordnance survey of the surrounding aree and there's a box of games and toys for younger guests.
The garden is a great place for all the family, with seating for 6 and a table on the patio with open views of the fields and fells.
WiFi is provided.
We do offer short breaks, with changeover on Monday or Friday.
Home Farm House is in a quiet and peaceful, but near to the towns of Penrith (6 miles) and Keswick (12 miles).
