Highgate is a substantial property located next to a small working farm. It is part of the Hutton John Estate. It is a beautifully appointed eighteenth century house with lots of space for the whole family or for friends to get together. Please note that Highgate is next to a main road, but we have double glazed all the windows to minimise road noise. Highgate is in easy to reach, at just 5 miles from Junction 40 M6, and is the perfect location for exploring the North Lakes - situated between Keswick and Penrith and is just 3 miles from Ullswater!

​​There are five individually decorated double bedrooms, four upstairs. There are three king size beds and two twin rooms. Two king size bedrooms have an ensuite shower room whilst the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, with a feature bath. There is a bathroom for the twin bedroom upstairs. The twin bedroom downstairs has a large ensuite shower room and a sitting room (no tv). There is a step down to the bedroom. The kitchen is light and modern and fully equipped with everything you need to create a family meal. From there you can go through to the dining room. Opposite is the family room, with a TV and DVD player and lots of dvds and a toy box, with games for the family. Along the corridor from the family room is the very spacious sitting room with a log burning stove, to keep you toasty on colder nights. The whole party can sit in the sitting room with ease and watch DVDs, read books or just have a good old natter. (There are two steps up to this main sitting room.) Highgate is perfect for a big gathering of family and friends with plenty of space to be together or to enjoy some time to yourself.

By the entrance to the property is another area, the boot room where guests can store bikes or other kit.

Outiside there is space for up to ten cars. There is a large gravelled back garden with a table and seating for 10 people. To the front of the property is a garden with lawn and trees and shrubs.

We do offer short breaks, changeover days are Monday and Friday.
