This private experience offers a wide variety of vantage points including, lakes, mountains, waterfalls, rivers and streams. An ideal activity for those with an adventurous nature and love of the outdoors.

Morning

First stop: Kirkstone Pass Inn

Kirkstone Pass is the Lake District’s highest pass that is open to motor traffic, with an altitude of 1,489 feet. At the top of Kirkstone Pass you will find Kirkstone Pass Inn where you can enjoy stunning views including Lake Windermere.

Second stop - Stock Ghyll Force - Ambleside

A short walk from Ambleside offers an opportunity to visit a 70 foot waterfall. The perfect place to stretch your legs and take some pictures.

Third Stop: Cathedral Quarry – Elterwater

This man-made quarry is more spectacular than pictures alone can convey, with its wonderful echo and tunnels of over 100m long.

Forth Stop: Tarn Hows – Coniston

A man-made beauty spot with stunning scenery looking over Coniston hills and Langdale Pikes. You will often find rare Belted Galloway cattle and study Herdwick sheep grazing in the tarn.

Afternoon

Fifth Stop: Castlerigg Stone Circle

One of the most visually impressive prehistoric monuments in Britain, built around 5,000 years ago with panoramic views over the mountains of Helvellyn and High Seat.

Sixth Stop: Friars Crag – Keswick

A stunning view looking out over Derwentwater towards Cat Bells and the impressive jaws of Borrowdale is an unmissable beauty spot.

Seventh Stop: Honister Pass – Borrowdale/Buttermere

One of Cumbria’s highest passes, connecting Borrowdale with Buttermere. The pass forms part of a beautiful circular scenic drive from Keswick.

Eighth Stop: Aira Force Waterfall – Ullswater

An eighteenth-century pleasure ground with a dramatic 65-foot waterfall, woodland trails, champion trees and red squirrels.

We can pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation or from an alternative pick up point that fits in with your day. We will contact you before the tour date to agree the most suitable pick up and drop off point.
