Follow in the footsteps of Wordsworth's children on an Easter trail around the garden at Allan Bank, where the family once lived.
The trail takes place between Saturday 28 March - Sunday 12 April 2026, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with last entry at 3:30pm, so pop up from the village of Grasmere and explore Allan Bank. Prices are £3.50 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears and a dairy or vegan/Free From* chocolate egg.
*Suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.
Starting with decorating your non-edible egg, you'll then be ready for Georgian inspired fun and games challenging your egg handling skills. And become a hero or a villain, by putting on a cape and picking up a play sword to re-enact your own traditional Easter 'Pace' play. Complete the trail and earn your chocolate egg.
