Looking for something creative to do with the family this Easter? Join us at Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house for hands on Easter activities inspired by spring, pattern, colour and the beautiful details on display throughout the house.
Paper Flower Crowns
Step into the Guild Room and create your own spring flower crown using colourful paper and craft materials. Take inspiration from the flowers and natural motifs you'll spot carved, painted, woven and growing throughout Blackwell house and gardens.
Available daily during the Cumbrian School Easter Holidays.
Decorate a Tile
On 2 April and 9 April, drop into the Guild Room and design your own decorative tile inspired by our current exhibition, Frances Priest: Motif | Line | Colour.
Explore how pattern, line and colour can tell stories, then create your own design to take home.
These drop-in sessions will be running between 11am–3pm on 2 and 9 April.
Blackwell Flora Hunt
Can you find all the flowers featured throughout the house? Pick up a Flora Hunt trail from the front desk and get ready to go on a spring adventure.
These activities are included with house admission.
