River Rhythms is a free, three-day immersive course where you'll explore the science, ecology, and unique soundscape of rivers.
Tune in to the rhythms of the natural world as you:
– Capture and experiment with audio in wild river settings
– Learn to identify wetland birds by sight and sound
– Develop creative sound design skills using nature as your source
– Understand the real-world impact of river restoration
If you're aged 15-18 and passionate about nature, environmental science, storytelling or just relaxed by the sounds of nature, this is your chance to experience rivers in a totally new way and create your own river-themed "soundtrack."
Transport is available to and from Penrith (funding available for participants travelling from other locations). Lunch is provided.
If you have any questions about the course or would like to book a place, email Emma at: community@connectfornature.org.uk or call 07516 588286.
