Outside our atmospheric shop in the Lakeland village of Grasmere, learn about Sarah Nelson – who invented Grasmere Gingerbread® in 1854 – and Cumbria's unique culinary history.
Presented by a staff member in photo-friendly Victorian costume, this charming experience will create a lasting memory of your visit to The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop.
As well as the mouth-watering aroma of sweet ginger in the air, your talk will include:
· A slice of freshly-baked Grasmere Gingerbread®;
· An oatcake spread with our delicious Handmade Cumberland Rum Butter;
· A cup of artisan coffee or a steaming cup of tea;
· A carton of juice for children
