The honeypot village of Hawkshead is close by as well as the Car Ferry across Lake Windermere. Each property has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms kitchen and 2 lounges, Private parking and enclosed garden. Glenside’s garden is secure and can accommodate dogs. Guests can enjoy beautiful views from all windows, especially stunning sunset views from the covered porch.
The cottages can be booked together for larger family groups. Book direct with the owners, a local family who personally prepare your holiday home from home.

From the Windermere car ferry, continue along the B5285 to Far Sawrey. Turn left immediately opposite the Cuckoo Brow Inn and follow this lane down and to the left and through Fold Farm yard. Glenside and Bishop Howe are the first properties on the left. From Ambleside. Take the B5285 to Hawkshead ( 6 miles). Turn left at the T junction , follow signs for Windermere Via Ferry. Through the village of Near Sawrey ( 3 miles) and onto Far Sawrey. Take the first right turn BEFORE the Cuckoo Brow Inn and follow this lane through Fold Farm yard. Glenside and Bishop Howe are the first houses on the left. From Newby Bridge Turn right off the A590 over Newby Bridge ( Swan Hotel) Follow this road to Lakeside and Graythwaite. After approx 5 mlies RIGHT to Cunsey , after approx 3 miles turn left to Far Sawrey . Bishop Howe and Glenside are the second set of semi detached houses on the left AFTER the church.
Trains to Oxenholme Lake District and Windermere. The best way to get from Oxenholme Lake District Station to Windermere Ferry without a car is to train and line 599 bus which takes 1h 1m . To avoid the ferry the 505 bus takes you from Windermere to Hawkshead then The Mountain Goat bus takes you to Sawrey.
