Restaurants come and go but our focus on quality and customer service has set us aside from many other Lake District Restaurants. Whether popping in for breakfast, a snack at lunch, indulging in our unique Sunday lunch experience or a full four course meal in the evening, The Lamplighter offers a great selection of not only food and beverage but also locations in which to dine to suite all tastes.

Dine in the cosy bar with the fire blazing on a cold winters evening, the high ceilinged Victorian restaurant, the stylish lounge bar or, weather permitting, outdoors on the terrace, the choice is yours. Recently refurbished to its former glory we have retained the Victorian features of the building whilst adding a slightly contemporary feel such as the wonderful William Morris wallpaper that stretches throughout the bar and restaurant. The Lamplighter also features outside seating on the hotels veranda or in the sunken terrace should you wish to dine alfresco or just enjoy a refreshing drink, both are wonderful suntraps and great for people watching. Previously, also known by the locals for our wonderful curries and fresh fish we have decided by popular demand to re-introduce these selections on Wednesday night and Friday night respectively.
