Your accommodation for your stay is Lindeth Howe, a beautiful country house hotel situated in a 28-acre estate commanding fine views over lake Windermere. The property was once owned by Beatrix Potter and it now contains a host of references including original photographic plates of pictures & prints of the house taken by her father. Furthermore, your prize includes entrance for 2 people to The Armitt Museum and Library in Ambleside. The Armitt holds the world’s largest collection of fungi watercolours by Beatrix Potter. For 2026, the headliner exhibition is ‘An A-Z of Beatrix Potter’. In this new co-curated and book tie-in exhibition with Dr Penny Bradshaw from the University of Cumbria, familiar Beatrix Potter themes and topics are explored from new angles, and light is cast on more uncharted corners of her imagination through objects and artworks sometimes little seen from The Armitt’s own collection and from others around the world.

Mountain Goat:

• All participants must be aged over 5.
• Prize valid until July 2027

• Prize includes one 4.5 hour tour for 2 people (Beatrix Potter’s favourite countryside) which includes a cruise on Windermere & entry to Hill Top (or entry to World of Beatrix Potter-dependent upon dates chosen.)

The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction:

The Armitt:

• The prize is two free admissions to The Armitt: Museum, Gallery, Library in Ambleside between the closing date of the draw and 31st July 2027 up to the amount of £30. Children under 16 are free as standard. 
• Please present proof of prize as evidence to gain entry. This must be shown to the person at the front desk of The Armitt, along with a valid ID. 
• The prize can only be claimed once and cannot be exchanged or transferred for any other purchase or event. 
• The Armitt reserves the right refuse entry or to close the museum for operational requirements.

• Please note, The Armitt changes its exhibitions annually so the current exhibition on Beatrix Potter in 2026 – ‘An A-Z of Beatrix Potter’ – will close at the end of the year. From 2027, a new display will be installed and whilst Beatrix Potter will feature, we cannot guarantee the same amount of space will be dedicated to her life and work.
