With affordable fares, a park-and-ride option, and easy connections to other bus routes, getting to Buttermere has never been easier.

The 77C service runs from Cockermouth to Buttermere on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, from 3rd May to 31st August 2025.

You can park and ride from the Memorial Gardens in Cockermouth for just £5 for the full day parking. Park and ride postcode: CA13 0EJ

• Under 5 years old - Free
• Concessionary pass holder - Free

Stagecoach North West Explorer and Keswick and Honister Day Rider tickets  are valid on this service and through-tickets are available from other Stagecoach services.

Useful information

• Catch the bus from Main Street Cockermouth, East bound bus stop - just turn up!
• Well-behaved dogs are welcome aboard.
• 23 seater mini-bus with easy access and space for one wheelchair.
• Drop off and pick up in between marked bus stops where safe to do, let the driver know.

Connecting bus services: Cockermouth & Buttermere

• From Workington you can catch the X4/5 which runs to and from Cockermouth hourly
• From Buttermere you can catch the 77/77A to Keswick, via Whinlatter and Honister
