Looking for something free, that’s off the usual tourist trails for your family’s summer holiday? Try taking a Playcation in Barrow-in-Furness, South Cumbria’s coastal centre.
Playcations are mini family-friendly festivals of creative fun taking place across Barrow. You can enjoy lively music gigs; hilarious open-air theatre; the opportunity to take away a piece of pottery you’ve made yourself and theatre games as well as having a great time as a family playing games and enjoying spending time with one another outside.
Take a bus (stagecoach 6/X6 from Kendal), a train (roughly every 45 minutes) from Lancaster, or drive to Barrow along the A590 from the M6.
10.30-4pm
