BeWILDerwood Lake District is a magical family adventure where imagination, outdoor play and storytelling come together in the heart of the Lake District. Located at Brockhole on the shores of Lake Windermere, this enchanting destination invites families to step into a world inspired by the much-loved children's books of Tom Blofeld.

Created for adventurers of all ages, BeWILDerwood Lake District encourages families to swap screens for outdoor exploration. Wander along woodland trails, discover breathtaking views across Windermere and immerse yourselves in a storybook setting where curiosity and creativity lead the way.

Alongside the outdoor adventures, families can enjoy Minty Land, an exciting indoor play experience where little explorers can crawl, slide and uncover surprises around every corner. Designed for year-round fun, it's the perfect place to let imaginations run wild whatever the weather.

Visitors can also relax and refuel at The Whitehouse Café and The Meadows Cafe, serving drinks, sweet treats, light bites and refreshments.

Brockhole on Windermere is easy to reach without a car, making it ideal for a low‑impact day out. Windermere Lake Cruises call directly at Brockhole’s own jetty from Ambleside and Bowness, offering a scenic and relaxing way to arrive by boat across England’s largest lake. Frequent bus services, including the open‑top 599 and the 555, stop right outside the main entrance on the A591 and connect Brockhole with Windermere rail station, Bowness, Ambleside and beyond. For those who enjoy travelling at a slower pace, Brockhole is also accessible on foot or by bike from Windermere, using pavements and lakeside routes that make the journey part of the experience.
