John Farrer & Co. (Kendal) Ltd are one of the oldest independent coffee roasters in the United Kingdom, with John Farrer himself trading in 1819 in the small market town of Kendal.

Our company has continued to go from strength to strength; now housed in a modern state of the art roastery, on the edge of Kendal, it is very evident that John’s legacy continues.

The Farrer’s team of 16, including four master roasters, is brim full of experience, with many members of the team hailing from in and around Kendal.
We are all genuinely interested in being at the heart of a very innovative and distinct food scene, as well as being part of a company renowned for producing consistent, high quality artisan batch roasted coffees.

To complement our comprehensive range of single origin and blended coffees we have also taken the time to create a state-of-the- art training facility, this ensures that we can pass on our years of experience and expertise to our customers, so that they in turn can get the very best from our coffees.
