Book a fun navigation skills session with me - Emma Seery. I’m a local guide and navigation tutor, and I love teaching people how to find their way around the fells. Because good navigation is a passport to having a lifetime of great adventures in the hills!

I have experience teaching total beginners, as well as people looking to hone (or remember) their existing skills. And I offer full and half day sessions.

Either way, we start with a quick chat (ideally over a coffee), to look at some maps and apps, and talk about what you want to achieve. Then we get out and do lots of practice, building skills as we go, and spending time in some beautiful places along the way.

All South Lakes Adventures are run by me. I’m a qualified mountain leader and navigation tutor, as well as a Mountain Rescue Team volunteer and Remote Rescue Medical Technician. So you can relax and have fun, and let me worry about the rest.

The atmosphere will be easygoing, and we will go at your pace.

And to ensure everyone has plenty of support, if you’re a group of more than 4, I’d bring in a second qualified instructor to work with me. Likely my good friend and Mountain Rescue team mate Gary Lingard.
