About
Tabitha Twitchit's Bookshop is the first second-hand bookshop owned by the National Trust that isn't connected to a property, in England. The building was once the Heelis solicitor's office where Beatrix Potter's husband, William Heelis, worked. Now the building is a quirky bookshop that also holds events and exhibitions, working as part of the community of Hawkshead. There is information about Beatrix Potter and a timeline of her life inside for visitors to peruse.
