One of the UK's most acclaimed and treasured songwriters, Badly Drawn Boy, aka Damon Gough, joins us for an intimate 'Live & In Conversation' evening. This show will be hosted by BBC Radio 6 Music's Chris Hawkins. He will guide an evening of in-depth conversation with the iconic musician, as Damon tells the stories behind the songs, along with a live acoustic solo performance. The show promises a unique experience for fans. The setlist will be determined on the night from across Badly Drawn Boy's beautiful and eclectic discography from a career spanning over 25 years and nine albums.
This date follows 2025's hugely successful 25th anniversary tour celebrating his groundbreaking debut album, "The Hour Of Bewilderbeast". With a full band, Badly Drawn Boy performed the Mercury Prize-winning album in its entirety – including the much-loved singles 'Once Around The Block', 'Another Pearl' and 'Disillusion'. The show featured another set of classics and fan favourites from his extensive back catalogue. The sold out tour in Spring 2025 saw Damon and his band visit some of the UK's most iconic venues. It culminated with 3 shows at London's EartH Theatre and 2 nights at Manchester's Aviva Studios. Due to phenomenal demand, he added five extra dates in December 2025.
The Hour Of Bewilderbeast was originally released on BDB's own label, Twisted Nerve, through XL Recordings on June 26th 2000 and quickly established Badly Drawn Boy as a leading figure in the British music scene. The album's eclectic mix of folk, rock, and electronica, coupled with Damon Gough's distinctive songwriting and poetic lyrics, resonated with audiences worldwide. Badly Drawn Boy's discography spans over nine albums, including the acclaimed soundtrack to Nick Hornby's "About a Boy" (2002); "Have You Fed The Fish?" (Also 2002) which featured 'You Were Right', his biggest single to date; the epic Born In The U.K. (2006) and his most recent release, "Banana Skin Shoes."
