Embrace winter with fresh air, star-gazing and warm waters.

Escape to the Lakes this winter and immerse yourself in our Dark Skies experience. This themed weekend is ideal for those who love nature, serenity and are interested in the night sky. Our remote location provides the perfect place to glimpse star-filled skies, spot constellations and maybe even a lucky shooting star!

By day you'll enjoy activities such as climbing and swinging with a starry theme, give our stomp rocket challenge a go, learn more about solar observing with Cockermouth Astrological Society and enjoy an art workshop with Juno Lowther where you'll create a dark skies themed painting.

Our themed weekends are great for adults, families and groups of all abilities and a wonderful opportunity to try something new in the heart of the Lake District.
