Welcome to a Spring evening Earth Day forest therapy walk--a restorative way to immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the natural world. Forest therapy (also known as forest bathing) is a slow, mindful, guided walk in nature. It isn't a naturalist exploration and it isn't a rigorous hike. Rather, it is an opportunity to unplug in a peaceful setting with a series of gentle prompts that are designed to help you quiet your mind, engage your senses, and deepen your connection to yourself, each other, and to the sights, sounds, scents, and textures around us.. This practice honors and deepens our relationship with the Earth, inviting us to recognize the intricate web of life we are a part of.
We will meet at the obelisk in the square in Broughton-in-Furness and then will meander along the beautiful old railway line, by the ponds and into the woods. The lovely area we will be walking in is part of the Lake District National Park and the route will be between a mile and two miles. There will be times when we will walk or sit quietly alone and times when we'll gather together. We'll end our walk with snacks and a tea using plants foraged from the area. Whether you're seeing stress release, emotional balance, or simply a deeper connection to the natural world, a forest therapy walk is a simple yet profound way to nurture both body and soul. I am a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide and am excited to share this experience with you.
This event is for people 16 and older.
Register before April 21st. Registration and additional information can be found on the website. Thank you.
