LAKES LIVE is a full multi genre night in the heart of the Lake District bringing six different sounds into one room right in the heart of the Lakes.
Acoustic, Soul, Indie, Alt Rock, Afrobeats, plus a DJ opening and closing to carry the energy all the way through. It's not one vibe all night. It builds.
After MiniFest in Kendal last summer pulled 100+ through the door and showed there's real demand here, this is the next step. Bigger room. Bigger sound. Bigger atmosphere.
The Royalty Cinema gets completely transformed for the night. Seats out, proper standing space, full lighting, cinema-grade sound. It turns into a real live room.
Each act gets a 30 minute set so nothing feels rushed. The night moves properly from one sound into the next, building energy as it goes.

GETTING THERE:
The Royalty Cinema is right in the centre of Bowness, easy to get to from anywhere in the Lakes.
By car:
Head into Bowness-on-Windermere and follow signs for the town centre. The venue is just off the main road through Bowness.
Parking:
There's parking right next to the venue plus multiple paid car parks within a couple minutes walk.
Walking:
If you're already in Bowness, it's right in the centre so you can't really miss it.
Public Transport Directions
By bus:
Bus stops are directly outside or a short walk away with regular routes running through Bowness.
By train:
Nearest station is Windermere Railway Station. From there it's a 5–10 minute taxi or around a 25–30 minute walk into Bowness.
