Kendal Community Theatre presents The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame and adapted for theatre by Mike Kenny. This is an amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern.
The Wind in the Willows is a story of life on the riverbank – a tale of simple woodland folk, it was written in 1908 by Kenneth Grahame, and has since become a classic. The story riverside residents, Mole, Ratty and Badger, as they are dragged into the adventures and tribulations of the rich and reckless (and unfortunate) Mr Toad.
When Mole emerges from his burrow on a spring morning, he finds himself pulled into a realm of new experiences, some pleasant, some scary. He makes new friends, but how will he survive in the wild?
Can he join with Badger and Ratty to save Toad from himself?
How will Toad escape from jail?
Can they defeat the evil stoats and weasels?
Content is suitable for all ages, runs 2 hours approx with interval
Ticket Info: Adults £12, Children or People in receipt of Benefits £6. A Family ticket for 2 adults and 2 children is £30
Thursday 11th Dec is a Pay What You Can Afford Night-choose the ticket band you can afford when booking.
Thursday's performance will also be signed for those who are hard of hearing.
