Unboxing explores the relationship between Jess and her grandmother, Nora, whose close bond is put to the test after old memories bring up unspoken issues.
Written and starring Cumbrian-born writer Kyra Scott, it has themes of northern family conflict, generational relationships and female body image.
Is Jess and Nora's relationship as honest as Nora thought? How long can Jess shrug off Nora's outdated views? And are they actually more similar than they realise?
The play was written following consultations with women of all ages from across Barrow.
One of the stars of the show is Eithne Browne - who has had a 40+ year career in drama from the first production of Blood Brothers at the Liverpool Playhouse to C4 TV's Brookside. Eithne has appeared on stage, screen, radio, classrooms, hospitals and the world famous Mersey Ferry.
The night includes additional performances from some of Barrow's best up and coming female musicians and DJs.
Unboxing is the latest production from Theatre Factory's IF! Inclusion Festival - a year-long programme of plays about Barrow and its people.
Tickets are FREE or by donation.
