We are an independent family-owned free-house in one of the prettiest villages in the Lake District.
After years of planning and careful renovation, our pub with bedrooms is a characterful Lakeland Inn where everyone is welcome.
We offer 8 individually designed bedrooms above the pub that are named after Kings of England. We offer superior super-king/twins, super-kings, kings and cosy double rooms. Overnight guests are guaranteed a table for dinner in our Eating room and a delicious hearty breakfast.
Our team is friendly, kind, chatty, helpful, all attributes you would want from your local and your precious time away.
It is not just a pub, it's a place for people to gather, whatever the reason.
