Fornside Farm cottages enjoy a stunning location at the foot of the Helvellyn range surrounded by dramatic Lakeland scenery.
We have 4 cosy cottages, beautifully converted from traditional stone barns alongside the 17th Century farmhouse. They provide spacious accommodation of a very high standard retaining some original features. Well equipped, warm and welcoming with full underfloor heating and wood-burning stoves, they are an ideal location to unwind. The setting is a beautiful valley at the foot of the Helvellyn range, surrounded by dramatic Lakeland scenery. Peacefully located, yet within a easy reach of Keswick, Grasmere, Ambleside and all the various attractions of the Lake District.
When you arrive, we will give you a warm welcome. Fornside Farm is a typical Lakeland hill farm, set back from the road with direct, private access to the fells. There are many local walks and cycle rides that can be done directly from the farm. Additionally, our guests may explore our private farm trail, over which you may enjoy our woods, fields, streams, wildlife and fantastic views. On our 54 acres you will find sheep, chickens, geese and ducks and we hope to add pigs very soon.
