About

The Wild Boar is one of the Lake District’s finest and oldest Windermere hotels. With traditional oak beams, cosy open fires and individually styled rooms this country inn oozes character and charm.

Head chef Dylan Evans presents his passion for aromatic flavours, he has designed a menu which pairs classic favourites with an international twist. Dishes are popular among locals and guests alike. Dylan takes much inspiration from his time spent in the Middle East and his personal connection to Italy. He prides himself on creating colourful, flavoursome dishes to excite your palette. The Inn also features its own Brewery and Smoke House.

Set amongst the picturesque Gilpin Valley, this is a perfect retreat for couples, families and especially dog owners. The adjoining 72-acres of private woodland is perfect for an early evening stroll. There’s also a choice of woodland activities that can be booked, including clay pigeon shooting, archery, axe throwing and falconry.
