Our restaurant has a warm and modern appeal, for either a romantic meal for two, or a family meal. if you are hosting a special occasion, private dining can also be arranged in one our of our function rooms.

Castle Inn Tavern

In the Castle Inn Tavern you can be sure of a warm welcome whatever the weather!

The Castle Inn Tavern is open from 11.00 daily. Where better to laze away an hour or two on an afternoon, with the warmth of the fire (seasonal) and a selection of real Cumbrian ales and coffees. On warmer days our gardener would love you to enjoy your drinks outside and admire the landscaped gardens.

Food is served in the Castle Inn Tavern, from 12 to 9.30pm daily (no booking required). There is also a host of local sandwiches, salad and soups for a light bite option.

Along with a mixture of more filling, local and traditional dishes, and a daily specials board, ensures that even guests on an extended stay can always try something different.

For those travelling with children a special menu waits, with a selection of healthy meals along with those little treats.

Afternoon Tea

At half-past three, everything stops for tea! Relax with friends, family or colleagues.
A very special way to spend an afternoon....Come in out of the cold and enjoy our Afternoon Tea with a choice of tea/coffee/hot chocolate served in the conservatory overlooking the gardens, or alternatively in the relaxing lounges or Tavern by the fire place.
