You are here: Home > Food and Drink > The Borrowdale Hotel Restaurant and Bars
From the first coffee of the day to last orders, our doors are open. Whether you’re joining us after a walk in the valley, meeting friends for lunch, or settling in for dinner in the restaurant, food and drink are served all day.
Take your pick of settings — the beautiful restaurant with its traditional silver service carving trolley and seasonal menu, the bar and lounges with their welcoming fireplaces, the light-filled conservatory, or the garden where views stretch down the valley.
The bright and welcoming restaurant has teal and natural colours that reflect the landscape, inviting diners to enjoy deliciously prepared food using local ingredients. The wine cellar and tasting room has glass fronted doors that entice you in from the dining room, offering a wide selection of wine and champagne, displayed in rich wooden racking that are skilfully lit to highlight key bottles.
With views over the garden and down the Borrowdale Valley, the conservatory is a favourite for bar meals. Bring your dog along and join us in your walking boots if you wish to stop by for a cup of tea and a freshly baked scone. Everyone is welcome.
While we don't allow dogs in our restaurant, we are more than happy for visitors to dine in our lounges or conservatory with your dog, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.
