Tucked away by Bassenthwaite Lake, The Pheasant offers a real flavour of the best that Cumbria has to offer, with wonderful food and drink, all day every day.
Using the best Cumbrian produce to create spectacular dishes, the seasonal menu is sure to delight and has something for everyone. All handmade and freshly cooked to order, treat yourself to a pub classic or a culinary twist.
Visit on a Sunday and indulge in a roast dinner – choose from Topside of Beef, Loin of Pork or Lentin & Bean, served of course with all the trimmings and lashings of gravy.
Enjoy a drink in the picturesque grounds that surround the inn, perfect for relaxing after a long day of explorations. On cooler days, take a seat in the bar whilst taking in the traditional atmosphere that surrounds you. Choose from hand-pulled and cask ales, bitters and lagers, as well as a wide variety of malts, some ages for over 25 years. Why not sample a wine from their celebrated cellar too?
