In the centre of Keswick and with a recently refurbished community room, the Moot Hall is the perfect choice for coffee mornings, training venue, slide shows, business meetings, charity and fundraising events and exhibitions.

Training equipment includes flipchart, tv, video, DVD, overhead projector, slide projector and screens. Display equipment is also available for exhibitions.

There is a small well equipped kitchen with an electric hob, water boiler and crockery for up to 50 people.

Discounts available on room hire for users from Allerdale, Copeland, Eden and SLDC and for non profit making organisations.

Bookings taken a year in advance.



Moot Hall

The history of the Moot Hall is sketchy, but there are reports of a significant building on the site as early as 1571. The current building was erected in 1813, and since then has served as a courthouse, a prison, a museum and town hall.
