This is as real as it gets.
Upon issue of your survival kit you will be dropped into one of the densest most remote parts of our woodland. No phone signal, no comfortable fixed camp and no tarp or tent. You must source all your water, food, firewood and shelter and survive a night deep in the forest.
Upon meeting at our remote location you will be issued your basic survival kit and taken into the depths of our private forest. Very few people get this far in and we will see more signs of deer than that of any human.
Your instructor will teach you how to build your shelter for the night, light your fire with sparks and address the priorities of survival including Shelter, Fire, Water and Food. All your water will be taken from the stream and processed so it is safe to drink.
Keep that fire burning and settle in, the woods are a great place to be at night as you will be sharing it with various wild friends.
In the morning we will see you back at our basecamp for a debrief before you depart us, back to reality and the real world. You will never be the same again, these experiences change us forever and you will now have the skills and confidence to survive and thrive no matter what!
This experience is offered on a private booking basis for you and your group, giving you flexibility to choose the date that works best for you. The minimum requirement is two adult tickets when booking this private activity.
This experience runs from 09:00 on Day 1 to approx. 09:00 on Day 2.
This course is self-catered so that you can bring your own camp food to suit your preferences and requirements.
We recommend that you source suitable camping meals from Base Camp Food, who offer a huge range of freeze-dried or ready-to-eat meals. Please note that you must be able to prepare your meals independently over your own fire, so any meals that require complex cooking are not suitable for this course.
This bushcraft & survival course is run from our fixed camp deep in the forest on the shores of Windermere, in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
Full directions will be provided with your booking confirmation.
