About

The Coro is an historic arts, culture and entertainment venue presenting Theatre, Music, Comedy, Community, Talks and Dance all year round in Ulverston, Cumbria at the edge of the Lake District. It is one of the principal buildings in Ulverston and has the largest capacity of any hall in South Lakeland. It is owned, operated and maintained by Ulverston Community Enterprises and offers excellent entertainment as well as providing a lively community venue. It also has three spaces available to hire, ranging from a small meeting room to the 650-seater main hall.

      From M6: Take junction 36 -> A590 to Ulverston From Kendal: A6 -> A590 to Ulverston From Windermere: A592 -> A590 to Ulverston Plentiful parking nearby, Theatre Street Car Park 2 minutes walk

      Public Transport Directions

      By train: Regular services from Barrow-in-Furness (20 mins) and Lancaster (40 mins), with onward connections to Preston and Manchester, including a direct service to Manchester Airport. Ulverston Station is 8 minutes walk from The Coro.

      By bus: X6 runs hourly between Barrow and Kendal. 6 runs three to five times daily to and from Windermere. Weekdays X12 runs three times a day to and from Coniston. All stop at Victoria Road, 2 minutes walk from The Coro.
