Torpenhow Farmhouse Dairy produces award-winning cheeses, made by hand on a family farm using fresh organic milk from single herd, pasture fed cows.
At Park House Farm, on the northern edges of the Lake District, you will find their dairy in an old, converted hay barn just across the courtyard from their family home. Since 2019 they have been turning the wonderfully rich milk from their Jersey-Friesian herd into creamy, deep flavoured organic cheeses. Their range includes Binsey Red, Trusmadoor, Darling Howe, Park House Organic Cheddar and Oak Smoked Cheddar. You can buy via their website or in local delis such as Shill’s of Cockermouth or the Keswick Cheese deli. Their cheeses are also on the menus of several local pubs and restaurants.
