Canoe, Paddleboard, Kayaking in Windermere, Lake District.

Tailored made courses from sea to surf, lakes to rivers, adults to children. Explore Windermere from our Boathouse located on the shore - you will have direct access to the lake. A short paddle will take you across to the most sheltered areas - ideal for exploring islands and taking in the wildlife. Our sit-on-top kayaks are very stable and easy to paddle so suitable for everyone. We also have open canoes and closed cock-pit kayaks for those with a little more experience. Guided Tours are also available on specific dates.

Sit On Top / Canadian Canoe Hire

Explore Windermere from our Boathouse located on the shore - you will have direct access to the lake. A short paddle will take you across to the most sheltered areas - ideal for exploring islands and taking in the wildlife. Our sit-on-top kayaks are very stable and easy to paddle so suitable for everyone. We also have open canoes and closed cock-pit kayaks for those with a little more experience. Guided Tours are also available on specific dates.

Bike Hire in the Windermere Area

Bike Hire in Windermere area. Easy access to traffic free, gentle and scenic routes. Follow the lake shore or take your adventure further. We have a choice of start points. Kid's trailer and tag-along also available. Mountain bikes, hybrid bikes, road bike

Stand Up Paddleboarding

Hire a SUP and we will help you get on the water for the first time. You may get wet BUT if you really don't wish to enter the water, then ask us for one of our really big, stable boards. If you're hooked we'll give you some more skills to practice the next time you come. Multi day hire also available.

Kayaking

Taster Sessions

Learn to kayak every Tuesday. Have a go at kayaking for the first time with a fully qualified instructor.

Canoe Taster Sessions

Learn how to Canoe every Monday with a fully qualified instructor.

Paddleboard Taster Sessions

Our staff are all keen paddleboarders and are keen to help as many people learn as possible this summer! Join one of our taster sessions on Fridays 2-4pm and you will be up and paddling in no time at all.

Guided Tours Of Windermere

Join a Guided Tour of Windermere in a canoe or kayak of your choice and explore the lake, it's islands and wildlife. Every Thursday and Sunday this summer. Great for families. Suitable for beginners.
