About
Come and join us at Dam Mire Wood on the edge of Threlkeld village to see what we have done here and explore this beautiful green space. There will be outdoor, family-friendly activities on offer that include nature trails, treasure hunts, and craft activities. Book on our website for free walk-and-talk sessions, each around 1.5–2km and suitable for people of moderate ability. These include walks exploring Dam Mire Wood and the work we have done here, a geology walk and an exciting evening bat walk. Free food is available for anyone who books on a walk (visit our website for more information).

Road Directions
Dam Mire Wood is just off Blease Road in Threlkeld village. There are two entrances. Both can be accessed from the small carpark: what3words.com/shuttled.chicken.recorders.
Public Transport Directions
A regular free shuttle bus will pick people up from Threlkeld Village Hall or the Horse & Farrier Pub and take them up the hill to the site. These will be timed to tie in with the half hourly bus arrivals from Keswick and Penrith.
