Follow the Money is a musical comedy based on the memories of women who were the frontline workforce of Barrow's banks.
The ladies who stamped the cheques, counted the cash and kept the wheels of industry turning from the 1960s to the 1990s.
Features memories of the great shipyard strike of 1988 and the big wind of 1987.
"The buzzer goes in Vickers – The town hall clock strikes
Men run out of the yard gates, some jump on their bikes.
They charge across the Bridge, you can almost hear their feet.
Tension mounts in the Bank, as they hurtle down Duke Street."
Written by two former Barrow bank workers Enid Milligan and Carmen Sayle.
Follow the Money will run for two nights (29 and 30 January 2026) in a double bill with another production - Life Hacks.
With South Lakes Rock and Pop choir, a live band and a pie and pea supper.
This production is part of Theatre Factory's IF! Festival which runs for a full year into late 2026.
Tickets are FREE or by donation.
