Embark on an unforgettable Pet Encounter Experience where you can meet, greet and interact with some of the most adorable and fascinating animals. This hands-on adventure is perfect for animal lovers of all ages. Create lasting memories, learn about different species, and leave with a heart full of joy. Your perfect animal encounter awaits.

Adults AND children must have a ticket. Museum admission is not included in the ticket price. If you would like to visit the museum before/after the workshop, you will need to buy admission or show a valid annual pass.

⭐ Full payment required at time of booking. Any cancellations within 72 hours of the workshop, won't be issued a refund.
⭐ All attendees must have a ticket.

Road Directions

Travelling north from Millom and Muncaster, follow the A595 North. When approaching Whitehaven the Museum is signposted by brown AA heritage road signs.

Travelling South from Carlisle or across country from Penrith and Keswick, follow the A66 to Cockermouth which then joins the A595 straight through to Whitehaven. The one way system in the town centre, leads direct to the harbour and The Beacon Museum.

Public Transport Directions

Whitehaven's train station is 10 minutes gentle stroll around the picturesque sea harbour, around to The Beacon Museum. A stunning journey with the train line hugging close to the coastline as it travels north to Carlisle and south to Barrow-in-Furness and Grange-over-Sands. Timetables can be found here.
