The Unseen Child is the story of a young carer who escapes his daily life through fantasy worlds and battling mythical beasts in a quest to keep his family together.
Once there was a young prince, who was master of all he surveyed. His parents doted on him, until one day, everything changed.
A strange mood fell across the kingdom, and the prince was no longer the apple of their eye . . . storm clouds gathered, and slowly the prince became . . . invisible.
Weaving together the fantastical stories and real life experiences shared by Carer Support Furness – Young Carers, Theatre Factory has created a show about the voiceless in our community.
Told through, puppetry, animation and performance, The Unseen Child gives voice to the often hidden but vital role young carers play in society.
The Unseen Child comes to Cookes Studios, Abbey Road, for two nights - Thursday 3 September and Friday 4 September.
This is the latest production as part of Theatre Factory's year-long IF! Inclusion Festival - plays about Barrow life.
