Peter Kay was born in Heywood, 1950, and now lives in Carnforth. He is the author of several books: A Pennine Way Odyssey (self-published 2012), Show Me The Way to Santiago (Curious Cat Books 2020) A Very Alternative Coast to Coast (Curious Cat Books 2022) a Children's book The Owl &The Mole, illustrated by his daughter. (2023) His first poetry pamphlet, IMPRINTS, was published by Yaffle's Nest in 2025. He has also self-published a Children's Poetry book, The Heavy-Footed Spider and other Stories in 2025 and ghost-written Congo to Global the Autobiography of Congolese refugee RAP star (RDC SOLDIER). (2026) He is currently writing a murder mystery novel set in a northern village in the 1930's. He has had poetry published extensively in anthologies and on line and is a regular performer at open mics across the north of England.
