With modern furnishings and fresh décor, whilst carefully retaining the charm and character of this historic house, Askham Hall is somewhere you can kick off your wellies at the front door and relax in down to earth, comfortable surroundings.
The emphasis is on the food and our michelin-starred restaurant Allium offers an imaginative and creative dining style, using produce locally sourced from the 800 year old Lowther Estate. Our 6 course tasting dinner menu is available for £75 per person. The cycle of life in the gardens and fields dictate our menus - we work with the seasons to grow, source and preserve the produce from our surrounding farms and woodland.
Furthermore there are 19 bedrooms to choose from initially, each is totally unique and individually named. Room rates start at £150 per night including breakfast. A Scandinavan sauna, outdoor heated pool and hot tub are available to guests from April to October, as well as access to Askham’s ‘Health Barn’ all year round.
The grade II listed gardens are full of stunning features, visitors can also enjoy something delicious in the atmospheric Kitchen Garden Café.
A stunning wedding and party barn is also available.
